This Mosque is situated on a tiny mountain named Zubab which is near and in the north of Sala’ mountain. It is called Al Rayah as it is narrated that a dome was established to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) thereon. This mosque was built during the Princedom of Omar Bin Abdul Aziz on Al Madinah (86-91 A.H./705-709 A.D.),and it was renovated in the subsequent eras several times, The Saudi Ministry of Endowments maintained its antique shape to remain a heritage landmark.;
